Højer Møbler

Automating processes and optimizing workflows

For 32 years, Højer Møbler has designed, manufactured, and delivered furniture to the education sector, focusing on primary schools. The company has been using C5 as its IT system for many years, but it is, in many ways, an outdated system that no longer supports the company's development goals. That's why they reached out to TRIMIT.

With the investment in a new ERP system, Højer Møbler aims to optimize several different aspects of their business operations. This primarily involves having a system with an integrated configuration function to support their production and workflow. They can achieve this with TRIMIT's ERP solution, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central:

The main reason we chose TRIMIT as our new ERP provider is that configuration is an integrated part of the system. Of course, it's also an overall assessment because we can clearly see that they have a lot of industry knowledge and understand the challenges we face. But it's the configuration and the system's assistance in managing our products and bills of materials through various models and data that will make a big difference for us,

The new system is expected to create a stronger coherence throughout the value chain, including a higher level of automation, fewer manual processes, and better insight into the business' figures. With the current C5 system, they are also experiencing challenges related to GDPR and the new Danish accounting law.

Fundamentally, we chose TRIMIT because we felt that they clearly had the best solution to meet our needs. We're really looking forward to it. It will be a completely different world, and we will gain many benefits from the various automations and integrations. TRIMIT will simply increase our level of professionalism,

Mette has no doubt that a higher degree of automation and fewer manual processes will make a significant difference for the company once TRIMIT is implemented and ready for operations:

"Today, we are very 'paper-based' in the sense that procurement and production rely on physical order confirmation. Therefore, implementing TRIMIT - and especially the 'Production Orders' function - will be a big gain for us to get the right information to the various parts of the value chain," Mette explains.

An additional benefit of TRIMIT's solution is that it is cloud-based, unlike the C5 solution that Højer is currently using. This means that the company currently spends time and energy on operating and maintaining servers:
We're really looking forward to having a cloud-based system and getting rid of server maintenance so we don't have to focus on that,

She also mentions how everyone in the company is looking forward to getting a new system:

"The great thing about this project is that everyone is excited about getting a new system. Some may be a bit nervous about learning something new, but they can see how much value it will create, and it's clear to everyone that there is a lot to gain."
