Oscar Jacobson

A modern, scalable, and integrated solution

Oscar Jacobson, the successful Swedish men's fashion company with a rich history since 1903, faced a challenge – to modernize its business system to support growth and digitalization. With the assistance of our Swedish partner adbriq, Oscar Jacobson underwent a transition of its business system and related support systems.

Background and Need

"We found ourselves in a situation where our old system could no longer fully meet our needs. Our operations consist of an extensive product range, three different business segments (e-commerce, own stores, and retailers), and a variety of colors and variants within our product line...
...with over 150 retailers, 17 own physical stores, and an e-commerce platform, we were looking for a different type of system structure that could better support us, regardless of how our customers choose to shop,

Initially, Oscar Jacobson struggled with scattered information and complex workflows. The existing IT platform and business system were limiting and required a high level of IT expertise to function. The company's needs analysis revealed that they required a modernized, scalable, and integrated solution to manage their three different business segments: e-commerce, own stores, and retailers. The product range, with many items and variants, necessitated smoother management and better adaptation to different customers and sales channels.

Solution and Results

The solution is based on predefined standard processes that fit the company's long-term needs and goals: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, TRIMIT, and the integration platform bisting. An IT roadmap was developed in collaboration with Oscar Jacobson's management and operations to support the company's digitalization journey and streamline processes.

A crucial part of the digitalization journey is investing in users' ability to manage IT systems themselves and understand the integrations to be part of business development. Here, the integration platform bisting became an important part. The new solution enabled more efficient business development and increased users' ability to analyze and address issues in the system themselves.

A change of business system is always a comprehensive project, but we have gone through it in a good way. adbriq has the ability to outline how the flow works in the platform in an educational way. Having the integration and system map clarified has been valuable for us.

Oscar Jacobson's turnover increased by 56% in 2022, and they are now continuing their journey towards a larger and more successful business, with system support enabling them to meet future challenges and take the next steps on the growth journey.
